aku nak tambah point ridzi tu: h) high gain (too high)..

analog pedal pun akan ada noise kalau pulas knob gain/drive tu sampai habis. Utk recording, menggunakan high gain setting biasanya tak memberikan result yang bagus.. lack of note clarity and detail, less punch, fizzy dan tak tight. Ko cuma perlukan moderate gain tetapi boleh direcord beberapa track.

Hi
Thank you on your advice with the gain settings. I normally never went higher than 50%, frequently at 30%, then do multitracking for any part that i need more huge wall of tight sounds. Yes 30% is quite weak and obviously not up to the par for metal or heavy rock songs, but if you're dealing with POD then you just have to learn it the hard way.

I did the same on amplitube, 30% produces that same noise i heard in higher gain settings, even the clean sounds are pretty useless.

I suspect my problem to be from the crack itself, since i'm not hearing any problem from any of you.
Do you recall that AmplituBe's demo has this "building of noise" after the trial ends? Im afraid thats the noise im dealing with.
ah well, i'll just try download another one.

okla ridzi

Laughing Laughing Laughing

Anyway, you could check the stuff ridzi mention.

and..

How are you connecting to Amplitube>?
What audio interface?

that could clear things up a bit.

You can try to add a gate b4 going in Amplitube.
If you still think it's the version you have is causing the noise, please do Ik multimedia a favour. Buy it. Wink

i suspect that the noise probably due to double clipping.. the signal 1stly clips in the POD then goes through another clipping stage in amplitube.. even if you use clean setting of the POD, the signal acctually has been moduled to be some kind of clean sound. Its not really a 'clean' sound in term of the signal..

Try to remove the POD from the chain and see how the sound goes..

p/s: masa record tu, pastikan turn of pc monitor tu.. lebih2 lagi kalau pakai single coil.. Kalau dpt bg tau info about your guitar lagi bagus sebab apa yg ridzi ckp tu ada benarnya.. microphonic pickup, bad cables or even power supply(adapter) can cause serious noise problem.

hello izzi hello okta

POD has this option in its software where you can choose to record only 'dry' guitar, not amplified, nothing in the chain whatsoever.

I have also tried using tascam us-122 with same result Sad Please note that this particular audio interface is powered by USB, so no adapter. Worth to mention that my laptop's power supply were also turned off during recording

For guitars i use an indie tribal with its stock pups and a cheap tokai ls48. Guitar cables if I can recall are probably van damme's and some from planet waves.

I'm not sure about this but pros were using their lcd screens in the studio to solve the problems they had with the pc monitors. Correct me? As far as that goes, I usually just shut my laptop's screen off during recording.

okta we're cheap so ik multimedia wont have a penny from us Laughing hehe. Just kidding. I think everyone's familiar with the H20's "Try Before Buy" right? Wink

I'll have another shot when finished downloading the new one. Maybe I can post some of the clips with the current one if anyone needs to hear whats the noise I'm talking about Wink

Really appreciate inputs from all of you Smile Thanks!

aku pun pakai H2O punya tp ok jer takde noise walaupun aku pakai strat dgn single coil..

Issues SOLVED! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Obviously the previous one has some bugs or whatever.

The new one is a lot better. I'm playing around with it right now.

Anyways, do you usually use different settings/presets of amplitube on each track? i find that using more than one would slow down(amazingly slow) my computer. More than that would just crash cubase. Quite useless if I can only use one at a time don't it?

Tell me how you're doing.

Thanks everyone!

i used to have 5 tracks simulataneusly run with amplitube. 4 tracks for rif (recorded twice with 2 different presets, each track was duplicated and panned, so i got 2 tracks panned left and another 2 tracks panned right), another one was the guitar solo track with another aplitube preset.

and i didnt have any latency problem.. bro, what soundcard do you use?

memang amplitube ni consume a lot of CPU resources. itu hari aku dah kusut kepala nengok apahal la CPU meter aku naik tinggi gila. rupanya pasal amplitube.

but I normally can get 4-5 amplitube running on my PC at the same time(2.8Ghz with 1GB RAM), tapi ni pun kalau aku tak banyak guna plugin lain and kena adjas buffer skit ah.

Must be my computer.
I run on a laptop, a student like me needs mobility so can't do much with that. Nak bli pc baru kang makan daun plak Laughing

current specs are;
1.73Ghz, 512RAM, 80GB hdd (40+40)

I used a lot of vst's in the past on multitracks but amplitube seriously cekik darah as hell, even sampletank n dfh tak camni.
oh btw both POD and tascam us-122 can be as soundcard, either one is reliable enough. POD=guitar +bass , Tascam= everything else

Anyway, solved it dengan care export the track into .wav file then import masuk balik. I can see this will work for me Wink
