I wanna ask tentang sikit tentang bayaran yang perlu diambil dalam sesuatu event..
let's say satu band telah been invited to a wedding dinner to play for
90 minutes - 2 jam...
(lama tu, macam bukak concert mia duration ni)..
emmm kita akan play cover songs kan dalam la sebab ni demand diorang..
kira orang guitarist semua semi-pro la...
nak tanya market price is around how much kita kena demand daripada organizer. It is juz a wedding dinner, bukan besar sangat juga la?
our band is 6-piece band sebab vocal kita pakai 2 orang.. 1 is gal and 1 is laki.. so .... songs can be more versatile..
please ask for more informations if u guys need..

aiseh bukan concert la...
ini satu wedding je.. ngam ngam itu hari orang happy with our performance jadi ada orang invite kita orang pergi perform lagi kat wedding orang....
kena main 2 jam tu.. ini la.. i pening sikit.. lama juga.. i kena cari 2 vocalist.. satu pompuan. satu laki

if it's a malay wedding in the kampung...my uncle once told me that back in the days (80s) ppl will pay a few hundred ringgit to the band...but the band has to be really really good...coz the band has to have at least 50 songs in your database coz ppl will just go the the band and request for whatever songs...and you know those 60s/70s/80s songs has this groovy kinda feel and basslines which is not vey easy to be played if you're not that good.
but i think those day the band played not for the money, but just for the fun of it...a part of the kampung gotong royong spriti. He told me that he once got paid RM20 for his bass playing from noon till night. Those days they even had joget lambak, mind you!
if it's some other types of wedding in a hotel etc - i guess it's more of the budget that the organisers had allocated for such entertainment...depending on the size of the wedding...it could go from ust a couple of hundred to a few thousand bucks...
so maybe can check out their budget first and customise your show to the budget...if it's just a few hundred...maybe u can just shorten your showcase...for newbies we can't demand that much...
so it all depends lah
check their budget and work around there... |

Emm i dah tanya..... they are actually payin for 2k.. but drumset and amps all kita sendiri kena provide... meaning we gotta deduct the 2k to sewa
actually i x berapa kisah tentang bayaran.. sebab we all nak angkat experience but i oso kena quote dia satu harga ikut market je sebab lain kali if they invite this is the harga yang kita quote dia...
and oso tak nak rosakkan pasaran ma..
hehe
u guys rasa 2k is around the market price right?

dah cukup tinggi la tuh.. backline + pa system sewa pun dlm RM300-500... susah woo nak dpt mcm tuh... ape lagi grab je la...

Anrd KL Rm2k is basically standard la for a live band. I have a few friends that always perform stuff like this, weddings, new years, corporate functions. Baru2 ni dorang perform for Merdeka, payment was arnd Rm2k la. Of course psal equipment to its conditional. So organizers they dont what to expect, most of 'em r told that bands come with equipments like amps, PA system, even a stage w/lighting. So biler dorang cari orang, budget ribu2 pon they dont mind...
Arnd KL a simple PA system w/CD player & karaoke set can go between Rm500-Rm650. U can see why Rm2k for a band is pretty much affordable, regardless of the size of the wedding...
My firends yg main2 event ni pon x de equipment sgt, so what they did is use their resouces la, i.e, pinjam, hehe. That way u could cut ur cost a lot.
Set mmg lamer, what u should do is work with the weeding planner, or ppl yg set the itinerary. Start main lps main course or what ever, & u can take breaks like btw cake cutting, pictures, etc. It will also be a good idea to ask from the wedding planner a set list, songs the wedding party like...

thanks alot man.. actually this time yang cari kita tu is the soundman.. emm soundman tu dulu pernak nampak kita perform jadi they like wanna invite us to perform for his customer
dia buat sounds & lighting...
so customer dia skarang nak buat wedding.. and customer dia pun nak buat ada live band show.... jadi dia invite kita...
then their bagi 2k...
tapi kita kena sewa
"2 Guitar Amps, 1 Bass Amp, 1 Drumsets" ini la kita kena tanggung je...
and monitor, miking semua nanti ini soundman yang akan provide la....
