All 3 are sweet
Great to see you back here again churning out some mayhem.
I still cant play the guitar much, but these songs and synthdude's unfinished project are really stimulating me to get back again.
My Nuendo2 not working...gotta sort that out first |

Ok i just got myself a brand new V-Amp2. Im still learning to use it...but just by tweaking the knobs and freeing my PC from the processor-heavy VST's I managed to cook this as a test.. what do you guys think of the sound??
Clip04 This is Bode's backing track re-done and remixed
I have decided that this version was a bit noisy at the low end side - maybe because i used two guitar tracks on each side and I compressed it a little too much on the low end side.
Somehow i also feel that the guitars have lost their fidelity and presence using the V-Amp 2...so i removed the two tracks and used a little less compression as demosrated in the next clip below.

Yet another update...new mixing parameters..

Still not quite there yet with the guitar sound. The fidelity has improved, but with some loss of the mid range. I hate guitars with no mids...so im going to try and fix this by using a parametric EQ on the guitar tracks.
I also think that the gain on the left guitar (Mesa emulation) is a bit too much - sounds a bit fizzy and not much note definition there. The right guitar (Marshall emulation) sounds good to me. I like it a lot.
Ok thats it for today. I need to rest my ears. We'll see what can be done tomorrow. |
