Tulah, bermula dari topic awal ne.
- maybe explain ne boleh jawab sebahagian dari sebab sebab nya.
Macam fuzz face tu, yang paling penting dan mahal tu sebenarnya transistor NKT275 germinium. Padahal litar ne sebenarnya paling kecik dalam banyak banyak pedal legend. Tak sampai 10 componen kalo tak silap. Fuzz face yang reissue dah tak pakai komponen lama ne kecuali kita bikin mod kat analogman. Analogman dah karang semua NKT275 kat jepon, dia memang giler. Trust me, lagi kecik circuit biasanya sound lagi bukak dan kurang color. Giler seyy, pakai carbon composit resistor macam tube amp daaa. Mojo gilerr.
Utk OD ne, sebenarnya kalo dia tutup circuit pun boleh di ketahui juga. On this case rasanya quality, jenis, brand componen tu paling penting. Aku bagi contoh macam NKT275 well know paling bagus utk fuzz face. Tapi keluaran NKT275 sebenarnya tak consisten, value gain bagi setiap transistor tu berbeza. So biasanya si pembuatnyer hanya tahu aper value yang nak digunakan. Macam kita kena beli matchpair utk power tube. Tapi yang ne lain skit, maybe first stage nyer transistor gain mesti 80% dari nilai second transistor. Lebih kurang cam tu la.
Mahal giler pedal ne, karang aku tak sanggup nak godek plak. hhahahahah.
Sebab tu kengkadang diorang tak kisah schematic bersepah kat net. sebab dalam schematic tu tak tuliskan value, quality dan brand componen sebenarnya. Ceramic or poly or mica cap ada bezanya. chip 4558 dengan pengeluar x sama pun ada bezanya. That why kengkadang study pasal brand dan componen spec ne sangat critikal dalam DIY. Macam kita beli umah, kena study juga pasal kontractor dan componynya. sebab benda cam ne explain componen dan quality pembuatan dalam umah tu yang kita tak nampak. kalo Talang... baik blah jer. hahhahaha... merapu plak gua.

Mat salleh nie gear dia simple je..
1. 57 les paul gold top - 240K USD
2. 58 Les paul sunburst - 250K USD
3. 59 sunburst strat. - 45K USD
4. Klon centaur pedal - 800 USD
Gua tengok gear dia gua pening.. ade agak orang macam nie..
Pada hal mat salleh nie orang dia sederhana je.. badan penuh tattoo.. dia ler guru member gua pasal barang2 vintage nie..
Tak silap kalau Les Paul lama, caps dia jenis bumble bee caps..
Abih tu neck di besar macam kayu baseball..
Serial number jenis stamp bukan embossed..
Kalau ko dapat baca buku Ghrunn's ade banyak pasal benda2 nie
Terror gak dia orang nie.. travel satu US cari benda lama.. tau nilai dan specs setiap benda vintage..

Pedal lama macam klon centaur/ tape echo delay/ expandora gua dah give up nak beli.. nasib baik ade internet bole layan tengok pun ok..
10 tahun lepas benda nie semuanya dalam linkungan harga bawah USD500 - USD200.. masa tu pun dah agak mahal.. USD 800 untuk pedal gile betul..

Sebenarnya, aku ne tak tau psal guitar vintage... hehehhe.
Tak tau nak start dari mana. Aku pakai gita murah jer sebenarnya. So buat malu jer nak list out hahhahahaha.

I love those beat up relic guitars.. they look used but sounds damn sweet.. especially the maple necks very bright sounding..
Tele's with maple necks are the bomb!! the really bring out the telecaster tone.. very twangy!!!
I tried playing a few new ones in Bentley no mojo man I can't even begin to describe it.. even the 17K Mark Knofler strat... they had a custom shop blonde.. that was pretty decent.. but still it has very little mojo to it..
I feel the pups are not seasoned, the fret board and neck still has the finish on.. even the strings don't seat well on the fret wires..
If I had 17k.. I'd get the real deal like a beat up to hell late 60's?.. custom colour of course and maple necks of course.. re issue pun jadi la.. janji beat up!!!! especially if the pickup covers are broken..

Cartman - notice how used guitars when you take off the strings, there's always an imprint of the strings use on the fret wires? It takes many hours of play to get that broken into the fret wires..
I once got a dane electro new (korea) played it a couple of years but i never did get it right, like the way i wanted it to be.. My kapok did la.. but then again it took a lot of abuse..
don't confuse this with fret worn.. in cases of fret worn the frets are so thin that when you fret the strings it hits the other frets and gives you a buzzing..
My preference is I like guitars with those micro groove on the fret wire..
New fret wire's gives you a straight forward sound, where else seasoned ones add a bit of character to it..
but again it depends alot on your preference and playing styles..

Bagi gua, gita murah ke mahal ke janji ko puas main.. bila ade rezeki upgrade ler.. lama2 bole la.. jangan beli semua sekali..
Mimpi vintage gua agak2 susah nak capai.. dalam masa 10 tahun harge barang2 melompat 4 x ganda? dulu 70's strat dlm 1.5k nego ko dah bole beli.. Les paul dlm 3.5k nego.. tapi dulu budak lagi.. kerja pun takde..
Pedals? rm 100 pun ade bole dapat MIJ..
Kalau ade brader2 yang baik hati nak tolak atau trade strat 70's beat up PM ler gua.. Telecaster pun bole tapi yang dah season.. he he..
Gibson gua tak nak.. dah ade satu les paul cukup ler..

Perkembangan terbaru gua.
I dah berjaya do thy true bypass thing for boss pedal. Install 3dpt, remove flip flop fet switching. The great thing is, tak perlu drill new hole 4 new switch. No more fet buffer masa boss pedal off. Masa on boleh biar buffer or remove trus. But not a good idea to remove input or out buffer sebab buffer sebenarnya bagus utk distortion or overdrive stage. And all proses boleh undo.
