aku pakai 100 watts stack lagi solder gun... ha ha ha ha!
bro, aku guna 25 watts dan phillips 60/40 gak, tapi kena on standby awal. yg lebih watts tu mau jaga kalau tak jadi maggie may, masak lak sedap di makan. btw aku pakai mata solder ceramic dan paste.

ah.. mlm tu aku try, melekat jugak die.
first i tried sanding and paste x jadi, 2-3 kali gak la.
then i sanded, spray with alcohol to clean,
and then solder without paste,
melekat la ia nya.
tp skang problem baru lak.
humming.
background info sket.
Strat, 3single coil, 1vol,1tone, 5way selector.
hum occurs when not in play and i'm not in contact with the hardware.
if i'm in contact with hardware, theres no hum.
aku belum buka balik lg utk check ape problem, sibuk sket. plan nak buat this weekend.
so any pointers for troubleshooting will be helpful.
Thanks. _________________ "Jean Claude Van Damme is back. In the same crap you've seen over and over, and over again"

ok i've done the rewiring some 5-7 times already.
still hums, goes away when i touch part of the hardware.
so i tried the old pups to see if it hums
*see i had an extra set pups (all wired up to pots and all)
so i got a new pickguard for the 2nd set.
so the original pup set, i never touched anything (soldering wise) except 3 points:-
hot output, jack sleeve ground and ground (spring claw)
other than that 3 points mentioned, all points of wiring is all original
so no chances of me mucking up the wiring on than one rite..?*
so i tried the old set and the same thing, hums till i touch part of hardware.
which didnt happen before swapping.
so now, both sets hums.
really need help here..
