Sorry folks,
Gotta say I’m not into high- gain sgt these dayz but this time I cudnt resist. The rectifier simulation is soo addictive. Had to post this sound clip played using guitar rig. It took me less than 10 seconds to get this kinda tone and less than 1 min to record this clip.
I am sure Ridzi boleh buat lagi bagus cuzz this is really his territory.
p/s: lupa pasang noise gate.

Wow Ridzi! Thankz for taking the time to go over the basic step. Sorry i'm just wasting ur time coz the thing is, I do have sound coming out. Everything works fine but to use the ASIO driver in Guitar Rig as i've explained before is the main problem. And u were right at some point, i dont have to meddle the buffer not before i get any sound. But i have to coz that's the only best thing i can do.
-> no sound coming on on KX driver --> use default windows audio (but i think it still use the kx driver without the ASIO) --> very high latency --> set buffer to 512 (if only i can go lower, i should get 5 ms at most) --> got 11ms latency --> dissatisfied
that pretty much summing up my prob. so the next best solution is..

Yes i have used Guitar Rig within Cubase using the KXDriver and have had excellent results. Standalone mode didn't quite work for some reason.

You dont use Cubase as a VST
You use VST's in Cubase..
as in
You use oil in a kuali
as in
You use DXi in Sonar
Cubase is a host application. Same goes with Sonar, Nuendo, Pro Tools...

..as in u use AudioUnit in Logic. Yeah i knew it "all along".. chill dude, it was only a TYPO. I meant to say to use Guitar rig as vst.
Btw, i switched to my powerbook and Guitar Rig work excellently. No worries on latency. I used the built in core soundcard and it works fine. Hmmm.. something tells me i should try 2 use the MOBO built in sound card... _________________ -sizlo

Not bothered at all. I was just trying to help. Seeing that you got it sorted by running it on a Mac, Bravo!!

Tapi, aku tak sure boleh ke tidak pakai utk edge pro aku nie.

Okey.. aku dah dapat Guitar Rig full version...courtesy of Mr Okta.
Here is something I recorded with Guitar Rig... Aku record cincai-cincai..
http://i-bands.net/audiovault/bands/60/music.php
and here is a screenshot of my preset
I tried all the presets...IMHO the presets suck big time. although for beginers its there as a starting point.
Anyway i think GR is great! I was going to say its shit...but thats just letting my Line 6 snobbery getting in the way...so I took a deep breath...and aku buang jauh2 ego Line6 aku tu/
After messing with it for a while, I say it FUCKING KICKS ASS!!!!!!!!
Cuma satu je...you will need to spend a considerable amount of time messing with it to get a good sound...there is so many variables to play with... patience is the key word here....
The other thing is that i managed to get the full version working in Standalone mode...im not sure why this is....but i think there are some major unknown differences between the demo and the full version.
BTW..i also now have upgraded from Cubase to Nuendo 2.0...which is so much better than Cubase. Runs better.. I actually asked my friend who is running cubase with the creative drivers (He as an Audigy 2.0) and he said that he as a lower latency in Nuendo compared to Cubase.
