Hi Everyone

We have started an online radio - ROCK UNITE MUSIC (RUM) radio - which you can listen to at http://rockunitemusic.com:8000 (Winamp compatible).

RUM radio is an alternative channel for musicians, artistes (budding, experienced, recording...) to expose their original compositions to an online community (there are currently 2000+ listeners and we are growing!) here in Malaysia and beyond Malaysia.

Right now, we do a daily live broadcast between 10 pm and 12 midnight with a DJ (if there're any aspiring DJs out there who would like to volunteer their time on RUM radio, give me a tinkle or an e-mail. Male or female, any language...all welcomed! You broadcast from where you are). Music is recorded for the next 22 hours till the next live broadcast.

We play all and any original songs / music that is owned by the musician / artiste / band themselves...from Malaysia and any where around the world. Any genre, any language, that is!
If you have demo songs and would like an avenue to expose / share your music, we welcome that too. So, if you like us to play your music and have a radio station that others can log into to listen to your music from anywhere around the world, send me your music files or CD and details about yourself, your band, your songs (anything that would be of interest to our listeners to get to know you better!) and we'll play your music.

Our playlist now features music from the Rock Unite TV show, songs from Rock Unite Music bands (Kiri, Sharin Band & Nrocinu), Karen Nunis Blackstone - the lady with her acoustic guitar (tracks from her album Dark Sun Big Rain) and from Maldives, Fasylive and their rock album, Vengeance. Coming soon will be originals by Cats In Love (a local retro outfit), Electric Ladyland (4 young female punk rockers from Norway) and Single Track Mind's [hey.]

Yes, you can send yr songs thru e-mail. Use my gmail address as it wld be easier : meilynloh@gmail.com

Make sure you give me some info re the songs, such as :-

1) Are they demos or have they been released. If released, album name
2) Info about the songs ie lyricist, composer etc
3) Info about the band
4) You can e-mail me yr gigs, updates etc anytime and I can have them announced over the radio

However, I need to confirm with you that you or your band own the rights to the songs as we must have permission from the owner to airplay the songs.
