so amacam MY-MIC team?
bila nk start bikin project pencil condenser plak?
hehe...
so far aku cuma pakai single mic TS ni,
capture sound dr soundhole gitar tu...
then layer / stereo kn dlm DAW.. with some plugins...
teknik terbaru, aku rekod lagi satu take,
capture sound from 12th fret (jarak aku main belasah je)...
then blend in dgn first take tadi.... baru full sound dia!
tp yg penting sblm rekod mesti mau set pre-amp dgn sound yg masyukk la...
aku just pakai preset dlm GearBox je huhuhu... malas nak tweak!

anyway, here's my latest recording. better quality in terms of vocal sound (not the singing). and also using the most underrated condenser mic on earth. aku mmg promote my-mic giler2, takkan takde ape2... hehe:

orait.. mlm tadi baru balik dr melaka... rasmikan studio member aku.. sambil jamming tu ade la buat recording cincai2...
ni ada sample drum recording with My-Mic TS sebagai single overhead mic... yup, just this mic connect direct to TonePort UX2 (guna preset dlm GearBox)... cuba dengar!

fuhh kagum siot aku... dgn hanya mic ni saje boleh capture the whole drum sound dgn jelas... hi-hat, ride, toms, snare, kick... semua clear! caya lah!

sorry la, mmg time record aku pakai preset GearBox yg ada guna reverb efx.. so takleh buang reverb tu lepas rekod...
hmm STEREO input? hahah tu ayat meracun tu hahaha....
tgk la kalu ada apa2 nk beli mic ni aku rekemen.. boleh dpt murah skit... mmg tgh plan nak carik lagi a few mics...

hmm susah la nak estimate brapa size bilik ni, tapi takde la besar sangat, kalau masuk 8 org pon rasanye mcm crowded la jugak... (considering the amps, sofa, drumkit).. mic aku letak on a boom-stand, positioned 2 - 4 feet away from the kit... and of course the room acoustics and padding memainkan peranan jugak utk dpt sound mcm ni (sbb kitaorg jamming berjam2 pon tapi telinga aku tak bingit2 smpi ke sudah)
actually kan, aku rasa takde beza (in terms of sound quality) kalau pakai USB atau firewire... it's just a matter of how efficient the audio / data signal transfered from a device to the laptop / PC... yg aku tau, ni ranking transfer efficiency from good to not so good:
1) USB 2.0
2) FireWire
3) USB 1.1
correct me if i'm wrong...
