Ni basic utk set parameters kat compressor:
1. Set make-up gain kpd 0dB & limiter (kalau ada) utk tidak me-limit-kan apa2. Set attack kpd paling laju & release kpd paling slow.
2. Set ratio anda. Ratio 1.1:1 - 2.9:1 adalah mild compression, 3:1 ke atas adalah heavy compression, dan 100:1 adalah limiting (maximum compression).
3. Set threshold anda hingga dapat compression yg anda inginkn.
4. Set attack & release sesedap rasa.
5. Perhatikan meter gain reduction. Tambah make-up gain dgn jumlah yg sama gain reduction anda. Atau tambah make-up gain hingga level cecah 0dB.
6. Set limiter hampir dgn 0dB sbg langkah jaga2.
