I tukar from 9s to 10s, only adjusted intonation and action.
Didn't touch the truss rod, it seems the neck still ok, plays fine.
Is it necessary ? I made the change 3 months ago.
If it's not ok, tell me so I will go back to 9s.
I don't want to touch the truss rod.
I more or less play solo/leads and less rhythm.
PS: I am using squier california strat. Made-in-China. |

if you think the playability still there, action still low (acceptable by your standard), then I think no truss rod adjustment required.
Normally, changing to bigger gauge means more tension - the neck bows a bit (action getting high) and we have to compensate with truss rod adjustment. _________________ ╔═══════╗ ╔═══════╗
