Hello my dear friends(and...err...foes too!  )
I would like to announce a new release(demo version) titled 'Senyuman Terakhir'...sebuah lagu megenai jeritan batin disebabkan cinta yang tak terbalas(aduh!...sakitnya hati!  ). Yaa...Bode's Noise Box pun ada buat lagu melayu cintan jugak! He he he!
Ok beb...sebab site ni ialah site Malaysian independent bands, aku ingat, might as well kita release sebijik lagu Melayu pulak kan?
Bila korang dah letih dengar musik2 terkini, silalah menjamu selera dgn lagu 'old school' style 'blues/rock' ini...
Anyway...we hope you enjoy the song!

Azman Abu Hassan : Vocals, keyboards and drum programming.
Bode : All guitars and bass
...actually, originally, the song sounds quite different...and around the time of recording, I was listening to a lot of Gary Moore's blues stuff, so, that style somehow influenced the final vibe of the song.
Of course, Gary Moore is definitely one of my heroes whose playing has shaped my style significantly from my first days of playing up to the present day.

aduhhhh....teringat pasal kisah cinta aku yg kena tolak..sedih nyerr 
syok lagu tu!! ur solo reminds me of parisene walkaway and other gary's stuff

i think there's some pretty nice chord progressions there..the bluesy solo is superb..did you concentrate onany particular scale? like pentatonic minor with flatted fifth perhaps? or maybe mixolydian? or just hentam ikut feel? hehe..ikut feel lagi bes..somehow i think i'm trapped in scales rules and progression , rasa mcm susah nak think outside the scales..so my solos end up pretty boring..you've been in that situation b4?

Aku pun teringat lagu Parisienne Walkways (salah satu lagu fav aku) bila dengar lagu tu. Best Bode tapi tak puas la dengar ko goreng, TAK CUKUP!!! Aku ingat kau kena record satu Parisienne versi Malaysia punya... Putrajaya Walkways ker...
Aku nak tahu gak pasal scale cam Omar tanya tu. Scale apa kau guna? Ker guna scale rojak? Aku malas btol nak hafal scale tapi rasanya kena hafal jugak ler...
p/s Omar said 'onany' ... hahaha

hehe cekap betul madhatter dapat tangkap perkataan onany hehe..aku pun perasan masa aku post but too lazy to edit heh heh..
anyway ja'a , gua pun lagi slalu kena tolak cinta adusssshh..dah la stuck kat US ni mana nak cari calon bini haiya..umur dah nak dekat 25...nampak gayanya kena buat satu lagu pop balada melayu jugak la ini macam..

I used a special musical approach which is called 'tibai' in this song!
This is one song where I just played from the gut feeling and not think so much, but feel it. But you're right, there are some minor pentatonics with flatted 5ths, dorian, melodic minor in there(aku cuma cari ni semua lepas kau cakap...kalau tidak aku tak tahu!  )
I think it is important for us to analyze and learn scales, but when playing, it's best not to think about it, and just go with the flow...well...maybe that's not the right way of doing it, but that's how I do it at least |

Aku ada promote lagu ni kat independent musicians kat overseas, dan nampaknya lagu melayu ni dapat sambutan hangat dari musicians from US dan Europe! Walaupun depa tak paham lyrics, seems that they don't care so much about not understanding the lyrics but is more into the actual song itself!

yeah,dah lama betul tunggu doc klua lagu baru.harap2 nanti aku banyak lagi release lepas ni yek. doc,raya nanti tak buat open house ke? bole le kita buat gathering i-bands kat umah doc.
