ade sape2 ade experience pakai pikap ni x.?

ade kawan kpd kawan, hantar gitar die kt aku mintak tlg tukar pikap.
gitar MIM Tele, tukar drpd stock pikap kpd Noiseless nie.
lepas pasang aku test, ade hum.

kalo ikutkan wiring diagram yg disertakan dlm kotak tu,
xde ground wire dr Vol pot -> Bridge.
tp aku skip diagram tu dan wire mcm wiring asal,
aku wire a ground dr Vol pot -> Bridge
tp still ade ground hum, pegang string/bridge hum tu hilang.

ade baca review, ade yg ckp dieorg pon ade problem bising.
1 reviewer tulis, earlier models mmg bising, x mcm yg baru sket.

so aku nak buat full shielding,
mcm yg bro ultra_cosmo buat kt gitar aku.

tp still nak tanye la:

- mmg btol ke Noiseless.?
- sape2 yg lain ade problem ni tak.?
- agak2 ade ape2 yg aku tertinggal / silap tak.?

much help is appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi!

Maybe it's just a simple case of changing to a bigger capacitor.

Here're some articles you may want to refer to:

The wiring diagram for the stock Fender Noiseless pickup setup is known to be flawed. Did you also get the stock capacitor and 2 transistors with the setup kit? I believe it is required. If you rewire it, copy the configuration from the Jeff Beck Signature Stratocaster Set up. That's how it is commonly used. I have done it with just one regular capacitor wired up the "vintage" way. It sounds alright. You will need the proper pots to get full usage of the volume and tone though.

ok i redid the wiring, thanks to some Pm'ing back and forth with browndog and wired it to the stock Tele Noiseless wiring,
but adding a ground from the vol pot -> bridge.

the things still hums, the bridge pup is tolarable, but the neck pup is noisier then the bridge pup. browndog pointed out that it might be the wiring of power socket in my room/apt building.

i havent heard from the owner, so i'm still waiting for him to come by and take it somewhere else to test it out.

guitarmonger: sorry, i'm a lil confused. are you talking about the Noiseless Stratocaster.? can i wire a Tele Noiseless taking que from the Jeff Beck Strat, but making amendments to make fit for a Tele Config.?

anyhow Tele Noiseless setup kit did not come with Caps and Transistors.
i was wondering myself too, but a quick check with the Fender site proved that the caps and Trans are not included in the kit. so i'm using the stock caps, the ones in the guitar itself.
it might be changed previously, as the guitar had its wiring done prior to the owner coming to me.

Bro,

My bad...I just assumed it was a Strat, because the standard set of Noiseless pups they sell in the US are for Strats...a complete set of 3. I had wired them into a guitar I built two years ago...but I had problems with the volume and tone. The tone was muddy and the volume was just acceptable around 8,9 and 10.

Anyway, a new capacitor...and it drastically changed. Not sure if I changed the pots this time around.

Sorry, I guess I should have asked first. But yeah, the J.Beck signature uses Noiseless now....the originals just used Lace Sensors.

^ its ok nvm about the slip up. Smile

anyhow, the owner came by and tested it at my place and did acknowledge the noise.
i advised him to take it over to his place to test it out there,
explaining about my suspicions about the electrical grounding at my place.

i did get a very excited sms from him later saying its "quiet" over at his place.
now i cant bear witness to say what was the noise level as to what he regards as "quiet".

i advised him to test it further in a band scenario, at a jam session.
so for now, i'm waiting for that update.

thanks for the input tho, appreciate it.

Cheers.

Back in the day,...everytime I turned my Crate amp up....My entire house would be humming..and the lights would flicker... Smile I don't think it was my pickup's fault!

Must have been the Korean Squire I was using. Razz

^ that is really messed up.

i think i figured out my problem.
in my case, my room has only 1 wall socket.
so if i plug in my amp, it has 4 appliances to handle.
the amp, computer (CPU, monitor, speakers)

^ as i was typing that, i realize i have never tried testing the guitar with the computer off and just the amp connected to the wall socket. Embarassed

Kalo computer monitor lama, giler kuat kuar noise pada guitar... Even 3 2 meter pun tangkap lagi. Semua keturunan yg pakai tube cam tv pun ada masalah sama.
